So this is my old look, newly returned! Christian helped be put dreadlocks back in my hair this weekend. He's says they look "Kick Ass" but the verdict is still out, for me. The "officials" say it'll take two to six months for them to "lock up" and look good...till then, I'll be the one with the "bad hair day" every day:)
I put locks in my hair for a few reasons:
1. They look so cool
2. I think they fit my personality
3. I love the reaction on my parents faces when I told them
4. I love the way my girls look at me with them, Montana loved it so much she wanted one in her hair. SO....she has ONE lock in her hair, more to come soon though.
5. I like the idea of me being the "friend with dreadlocks"
6. I will never again have to pay $30 flippin' dollars to trim the split ends off my hair: All that hair is "good for the garden of lock love."
7. When we have family pictures done (which Christian vehemently opposes) it'll be Christian in his priestly uniform, me in my dreadlocks and handmade or recycled clothing, and both our girls in their dreadlocks and handmade or recycled clothing:) Isn't that a beautiful picture?
8. When I write my book they will be that picture on the back:)
9. I've always wanted them but the timing was never right
10. Last time I had them, I liked them but my head was so itchy I almost went insane: this time I'm sportin' the anti-itchies and other products to make me love my locks:)
oh, yeah...and it's just fun. And that's what it's all about!

I do like the locks. Thinking about getting them again. I love it that Mo is going to have them. Ask juanito about his reason for having them. It is also political. Go to his blog and ask him.

Amy, Yeah, the avatar is kind of what i look like. They are still in formation, and I don't have any photos of them right now...but we're having family pictures taken tomorrow...digitally, so I'll have some up soon:)
Nick! Christian told me you will soon by a knottyboy yourself! That's AWESOME. I got my stuff from www.knottyboy.com. They have a "how to" video, if you can believe that! But, seriously the wax they make is really working. Christian's didn't really ever take because it was my homemade concoction. I just got the starter kit. Can't wait to see them. You only need THREE inches of hair:)
